What a truly heartwarming and delightful experience to witness the recent Little House on the Prairie pageant, brought to life so beautifully by our own local families! From the moment the curtain rose, I was completely captivated and transported back to simpler times on the prairie. One of the stand-out elements was the exceptional sound quality. The decision to have each person miked was brilliant, ensuring that every line, every song, and every whispered word was crystal clear and perfectly audible, allowing the audience to fully immerse themselves in the story. It truly made a difference in appreciating the talent on stage. The props were another highlight, meticulously chosen and crafted, they authentically evoked the pioneering era and added so much depth and realism to each scene. I'm surprised I had not heard of this before (living in MN my entire life)! The actors and actresses worked very hard and it showed. I'm curious to know what the admission fee covers, because as far as I know the actors are not paid. That's a big commitment from all involved. Congratulations! The show plot was perfect for today's world, fortunately or unfortunately. Entitled children bullying the kind-hearted, less-well off kiddos was portrayed well. Incredible theatre! Well done, Walnut Grove community! Thank you for this living history experience. My daughter is five, and we have been reading LIW at night for several months now. We finished On the Banks of Plum Creek in June so we planned this trip for her to see Laura’s MN home, go to the museum, and see the play. It blew us all away!
