A quiet & clean park; this park is a central staple for play in our Rhinelander community.

In the summer find waterski shows, music in the park, a nice stroll or roller blade, and the best part? A great beach for swimming!

This park holds plenty of history with many of the trees having been planted 100+ years ago (maybe a little less) after one of the largest area saw mills and logging hubs closed up shop.

Whether you’re looking for a place for a quiet picnic or a fast moving baseball game - this place is a hotspot for bringing your community together.

In the summer find churches coming together for outdoor services, fireworks on the 4th of July, sunsets with skiers & boaters, a pier or two for catching a few fish and by fall, crisp fire-red maples, final sunsets, and fishermen getting in their final catches from their boats.

The park doesn’t rest, though, come winter - sled on the slopes near the ball diamonds, ice fish, and await the magical colorful light display! Or perhaps, take a simple winter walk.

This park means a lot to the Rhinelander community - why? Because it’s where FAMILY comes together.

If you’re new to town - know it’s possible you’ll become family too, if you show up with a good ol’ casserole at one of...

Newly paved (blacktop) walking trail with "story stops" along the route. Nice and level for easy stroller pushing, although the geese between the playground and beach area can be somewhat territorial and aggressive towards path walkers in the spring time. Tons of parking all around the park. Brand new amphitheater with covered bandstand near the playground. Lots of shade trees nearby. Looks like a new fishing pier might be going in early 2023. Besides that, there are 3 metal docks for fishing within the park.

One of the better places in Rhinelander for Pokémon GO that isn't downtown. From the boat launch to the beach there are 3 gyms in the park, plus a 4th is accessible at the nearby church. At least a dozen PokéStops, maybe even 20 in total. Might be more popping up soon with the recent additions...

Even on a Rainy day in June, our family was able to Host a Graduation Party. We were shelter enough from the weather, had access to electricity to keep our food warm in crock pots, and the barbecue grills were more than substantial to prepare the variety of meats enjoyed by our extended family. (Grills were designed for both cooking, and keeping everything warm off to one side) Despite the weather, I would recommend anyone looking for an outdoor location to host a party to check out Hodag Park. So many things to take advantage of while you're there. -a walk along the lake shore, a playground for the kiddos, and so...

This is a great park! One of my favorites. They have a band shell! They have a really nice beach with a changing facility/bathroom! People like to tie up their boats next to the beach. There's a lot of free piers to tie up your boat and take a walk! Come here on Sundays at 7:00 p.m. and see the ski show! Really some good athletic kids and I was impressed! There are two well-maintained baseball diamonds with dugouts! This park also has an excellent boat launch with impressive cement and piers! There's a little construction going on now but it looks like they're getting close to being done.
