As far as public parks & recreation goes Breckenridge is on the nicer side of things. It has the city services onsite in a hidden old rock quarry, so the park is kept well maintained. Given the huge size of the park there are several distinct areas. For example a North area where there are baseball fields, fire department buildings, and park facilities maintenance buildings. Awesome fireworks show even though we didn't buy the tickets for the lot with the bounce house,etc. The view of the fireworks were just as good from the free parking lot, and had a playground for the kids.
