Leslie park is almost a land mark in Richland. Hidden away at the Hanford side off George Washing way. This park has the best swimming withapebble beach and the river current is not as strong as most parts of the Columbia River. Also it is roped of with booys so no worries about boats. Has a playground, volleyball, and horse shoes. One covered gazebo that can be reserved. Plus dock wich is used for fishing with pole holder built in. Great for taking pets leashes required but there is a very large open grass area probably size of 4 football fields. So if tour confident in your dog's Traini g you could still play tech with little to worry about. The main Parking is small and often full but the fat side of the grassy area has a large lot. Walking and bike trails for miles. If one was AR anyone the hotels they could go all the way to this park but bike a better as it is about 5 miles of trail...

What a park!! Has an amazing view of the river. With swimming access really close to its two, kinda too small, parking lots.

This section of the river tends to get less boat activity as Nelson Island splits this side from the larger Colunbia river.

There are beach volleyball courts and several open flat areas for other activities.

There's a backstop, tennis courts and a small playground. At the north end, there's another parking lot with docks and a boat launch.

There's also a walking/biking path that will send you south for over 4 miles and through several other riverfront parks.

Best yet, there are numerous shopping and eating options just a short drive away up and down George Washington Way...

The park itself is very nice. It's on the river with a swimming area, large beach volleyball court, play structure, and plenty of grassy areas. There are lots of shade trees and a bathroom facility (although with no soap). My biggest complaint has to be the condition of the shelters. We rented one for our family reunion and ended up leaving because there were SO MANY SPIDERS. Seriously, they were big, and they were everywhere. It was more than a little eerie. Some park maintenance staff was there and they were understanding and apologetic. They said they would speak with their supervisor, so hopefully we'll be refunded. Otherwise, the park seemed like a fun...

Beautiful park! Amazing beach volleyball courts. Nice beach front sandy area. One of my favorite parks in the Tri Cities. There is a bathroom, water fountains, picnic tables, shade from trees, park benches, waterfront access for dogs to swim, 3 beach volleyball courts, and trail along the river. This would be a great place tp drop kayaks in. You could kayak around the little islands near the park. This picture is from the time the river was in flood this year. The beach is gradual and great for swimming. The benchs are obviously usually much father back from the water.

Local gathering spot for families wishing to swim or partake in some beach volleyball. No life guards. The Columbia River has a side channel at this location so the flow rate and current tend to be reduced. (NOTE: As of July 2, 2022 the water was really high here and there were no swim ropes. The current was quite swift.) Boat launch is north of here. On a crowded day parking can be a bit of a challenge. Bathrooms, if unlocked, are nearby. Bike and walking trail go through this park. Bring your own life jackets and volleyballs!

I really do enjoy this park my son and I go on adventures all the time. The only reason I'm giving this place for stars is that it is our tax paying money keeping this place alive yet the bathrooms can't be unlocked? Riddle me that one. Just makes no sense including when you have children mostly here just let him piss anywhere they want huh. Other than that it's very well taken care of the people are weird but hey they are everywhere
