Chenault Vineyards — Attraction in Richmond

I was debating posting such a low review since I normally don't even bother, but I felt in my heart that I should.

I went to Chenault Vineyards last Friday for a concert to support my cousin, and was surprised how pleasant and beautiful the evening began. The atmosphere was amazing, and I absolutely LOVED the wines. The live music was great too. All in all a great start to the evening. However, about halfway through the second act, a woman, who made herself known as the general manager, showed up and completely derailed the entire experience for me. She was OBVIOUSLY overly intoxicated and was stumbling and falling around and I was just completely embarrassed for her and the vineyard. This is the kind of behavior that typically keeps me away from other establishments around town, and I was hoping to avoid it here. To think, I had just been talking about what a great place it would be to bring kids or the whole family! It really was shameful and I feel as if I am no longer willing to recommend this place to others if this is how the management acts in front of their customers.

Two stars because the wine and atmosphere was great but I still can't get the drunken behavior of management...

My husband and I got married at Chenault Vineyards in May 2025, and it truly was everything we hoped for. Living in Lexington, it was important to us to find a beautiful venue close to home that was also easily accessible for our many out-of-town guests. Chenault checked every box—and then some!

What really sold us was that Chenault offers more than just a gorgeous setting. The catering was absolutely incredible, and having the option to work with their in-house wedding planners sealed the deal. Sarah and Stacie, our planners, went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. They were accommodating to all our needs, brought my Pinterest board to life, and handled a few small wedding-day hiccups with absolute professionalism.

They also recommended trusted vendors who had worked with Chenault before, which made the planning process so much smoother and took so much stress off our plates. Everything came together beautifully—we still can’t get over how stunning it all looked!

Chenault Vineyards is truly a dream wedding venue in Central Kentucky!! You won’t be disappointed booking here.

It's easy to think that you're lost on your way there, but keep going. It's at the end of the road. I was there on Saturday for brunch and then again on Thursday for yoga and dinner. The inside is beautiful and clean. The outdoor patio is relaxing with nice views of the large vineyard. The menu is pretty small but they offer pizza, soups, chicken salad and a few other meals. We had the veggie pizza one day and the margarita pizza the other day. Veggie pizza was delicious but the other pizza was pretty bland. The pizzas are large enough for three maybe four people. They offer red wine flights, white wine flights, sweet wine flights and fruit wine flights for only $7.00! There's a venue to rent for events. And they have various events throughout each month such as yoga, live music, etc. They sell bottles of their wine, souvenirs and booze flavored truffles, cupcakes and other candies. I tried the Sangria Boozy cupcake that I thought was too dry but my daughter tried the Peach Boozy cupcake and she loved it. A neat place to hang out and catch up with friends or a...
