Cochran's is known for training skiers and so that's where I went to increase my skill level (I started skiing 3 years ago as an adult). I did a few weekly lessons with Gayle and she taught me so much about myself as a skier - identified some tendencies that were limiting my ability to progress, provided some tweaks and prompts that really shifted my skiing to a more relaxed, confident state, and left me with the knowledge to notice and self-correct my tendencies. During my last lesson, she mentioned that sometimes we need a little time for the lessons to integrate and wow, she was right. I've spent a few days out skiing since then and everything Gayle helped me work on, clicked. I'm a totally different skier now. I've found my new favorite way to start the ski season... a series of lessons...
Read moreWhat an amazing family run ski area!!! I cannot say enough about the customer service we received AFTER skiing at Cochran's. After a race, our daughter left her jacket and pants out by the deck. Marilyn found them and put them in a safe place. She followed up with lost and found the next day, tracked us down, and even delivered the items to us an hour and a half away WITH a wonderful story to tell our daughter about one of her racing experiences. Some day our daughter will be sure to pay this forward. Small ski hills are hard to find. Customer service like this is nearly impossible. Thank you Marilyn!!!! If you want to tear up steep and deep woods, Cochran's 350' vertical drop isn't for you. But you won't find a cheaper place to ski, thanks largely to the outpouring of community support that Cochran's receives.
