Kenyon's Grist Mill — Attraction in Richmond

I did not place an order but was charged $210.00 on 3/26. The first time I called and actually got someone live on the phone. Said it was a mistake and I would be refunded. After 2 weeks and no credit I called back and had to leave a message. Called 4/30 and miraculously someone picked up. Was told they have had a lot of turnover recently and I am better off contacting my credit company for the credit as she would not be of any help. I use to order from this company but found the complete lack of communication so frustrating I stopped ordering from them all together. What a cool place to visit in person! I had heard that this was the best place to get cornmeal for Johnnycakes, but I didn't know they'd have such an impressive variety of different meals and mixes (I would have bought MANY more, if I hadn't had to worry about getting it home on our flight 😅 ) nor did I expect that it would be in such a unique and picturesque location! I loved talking to the owner--hearing a bit about the history of the mill and getting recommendations for other great local places to visit made this a highlight of our drive around Southwestern...

I've been buying Johnny Cake Meal from Kenyon's since the 70s. About 30 years ago I discovered some of their mixes and started giving them out as Christmas presents to friends and customers. The favorites are the pancake mixes and the corn muffin mix. Both are heads and shoulders above anything you can buy in the store. Many of our friends start ordering their own. Our three kids were raised on Kenyon's pancakes and waffles and now our grandchildren are into the act. They make a great product and are a pleasure...
