Great place to swim and picnic. The swimming areas are small but there is a perfect blend of shade and sun. There are picnic tables as well both in sun, shade under trees and under little pavilions. There are charcoal grills. There is a decent hill to walk down to get to the beach and picnic areas. There is an old style outhouse, basically a shed with a pit. Lovely park right next to the pond. Steep downhill to get the water (steep uphill to get back). Plenty of grassy area, with picnic tables and grill spots. There is no sandy beach, but easy access to the water, and the water is lovely, warm and shallow, so good for kids - as long as you are close enough to keep a good eye on them.
