This place is special. I used to camp here regularly between 1970-75. I’m planning on returning in 2023. I used to fish and tent camp near the lake. Just a beautiful and serene spot. Afterwards you can climb Mt Naomi for some great views. Another reviewer called Tony Grove and White Pine Lake “reservoirs.” Reservoirs are man made. These are not man made. They are glacial tarns. You can imagine how the glacier dropped from the rock face above near Naomi Peak and carved out the small lake or tarn. Caught a few fish in White Pine Lake way back when. Hope others...
Read moreHiked this trail in late September so it was a little chilly with some wind. Total time was about 2 hrs-30min, but this is not the average since I hike weekly. Great colors around for the season and very few people on the trail itself. At one point, I had the whole lake to myself since I did not spot anyone else around. It felt quite eerie with only wind blowing and the leaves rustling about. Overall great moderate trail for anyone. It does have a long steep stride about 3/4ths the way to the Lake so that might be the most intense path...

The trail is pretty easy from Tony Grove until the drop down to the valley and then the climb back out. It's very very steep.
