Experience the beautiful green color of White Pine Lake that sits in a natural amphitheater nestled in by craggy cliffs and Mount Magog and Gog. SAVE to plan your adventure. If you can go soon the fall colors are stunning! (they were just starting about 10 days ago when we visited) 📍White Pine Lake (Logan Canyon Utah) 🥾 7.7 miles with 1,391 ft elevation gain 🐕 Dogs Permitted 💵 $10 fee or free with National Parks pass 🅿️ Tony Grove day use area (which has picnics tables, toilets and a beautiful 1 mile loop around Tony Grove Lake. Last clip in reel) This parking can fill up because the the picnic are and it’s the starting point for the Naomi peak trail too This hike is popular but in comparison to hikes around The Wasatch mountains it is much quieter. Would you hike here? Remember to leave no trace. Hiked this trail in late September so it was a little chilly with some wind. Total time was about 2 hrs-30min, but this is not the average since I hike weekly. Great colors around for the season and very few people on the trail itself. At one point, I had the whole lake to myself since I did not spot anyone else around. It felt quite eerie with only wind blowing and the leaves rustling about. Overall great moderate trail for anyone. It does have a long steep stride about 3/4ths the way to the Lake so that might be the most intense path of the hike.

A very cool place lined on a couple sides with cliffs, and a small, peaceful lake tucked in the valley. A short hike or mountain bike ride gets you there. The trail in is just difficult enough to keep the riff-raff away. Nice.

This place is special. I used to camp here regularly between 1970-75. I’m planning on returning in 2023. I used to fish and tent camp near the lake. Just a beautiful and serene spot. Afterwards you can climb Mt Naomi for some great views. Another reviewer called Tony Grove and White Pine Lake “reservoirs.” Reservoirs are man made. These are not man made. They are glacial tarns. You can imagine how the glacier dropped from the rock face above near Naomi Peak and carved out the small lake or tarn. Caught a few fish in White Pine Lake way back when. Hope others...

Absolutely beautiful, a must see definitely. We rode our horses in and it's about 4 hours total with a stop for lunch at the lake. The trail is pretty easy from Tony Grove until the drop down to the valley and then the climb back out. It's very very steep. I was in an experienced horse and she did fine, and a friend was on a green horse and also fine but the horse was handling things well. Wouldn't normally suggest this kind of ride for very...
