We stayed at Hunt Castle to celebrate the marriage of two really good friends of ours. The Castle was HUGE and easy to get lost in, but that meant lots of bedrooms and room for guests. We had a fairly large group of folks (15-20 ppl), and we were very comfortable. We had full access to the kitchen and could make meals for the group and it was a unique and beautiful backdrop to a fun weekend! We enjoyed exploring the property and walking down by the lake and searching inside the castle for secret passages. Everyone had a great time, and it made for a memorable trip! The only con is that with a large group of people, at times the water pressure was a little low when showering (but that is not unusual or unexpected with a big group of people, and can be easily planned around). Overall, we had a great time!! The castle is cozy and inviting, and much more modern inside than what is expected when you think of a traditional "Castle", we enjoyed lounging in the hot tub at night and would definitely love to come back sometime!

A private reaidwnce that is available for rental. Large 10000 sq ft castle with 8 bedrooms. Owner a offer lots of amenities for all seasons. Located on 700 acres and a private lake. Great views in all directions. Great for family reunions or retreats.

Hidden doors, towers, everything down to the smallest detail (toilet paper holder) was pretty cool! Huge yard. Great views. Best place to chase the sunset was on the highest tower.

This is an 11,000 sq. foot Homeaway rental. I was there for a function hosted by the owners, John and Linda Hunt. If you live caslesand if you're looking for a place to rent in the Monadnock region to hold a gathering that can sleep many people (22), this would be a great choice. There's a reservoir on the property for swimming, canoeing, and kayaking, an 18-hole Frisbee Gold course (that I've played on in the past) and plenty of places to explore, both inside and out. The view from the roof of the castle (accessible)...

I spent a long weekend here with college buddies and their partners (total of 18) and it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, large dining table and spacious kitchen with everything you need. Great outdoor patio with firepit, hot tub and pool. Nice beach on a private pond with kayak and paddle boat. What more could you possibly need? Oh and caretakers are available if you have questions...
