Dollar General — Attraction in Rio Communities

Be wary of using FEDEX services at this store. We live near mountain air and have a mailbox at the ups store in Los Lunas (we don't have mail services where we live). I order Herbalife and have used fedex dropoff locations for years to receive it (in various states) and have never had an issue. I show up and provide identification, sign and they release the package. This time I added my wife as the person for pickup since she works nearby and will be in the area. She calls and starts telling me they don't want to release the package because "the address doesn't match her ID”. I'm like "what?". The employee is telling her it's policy that the shipping address on the package (which is dollar general) has to match what's on her driver's license. My wife literally spent a quarter of her lunch break having to explain to this girl why her driver's license couldn't have the dollar generals address on it and how if the package had any other address on it then the package wouldn't be there because it would be at that other address. The employee insisted that my wife had to provide something with the DG address on it so she pulled up the Herbalife order and showed it to the employee with the DG address listed as shipping and finally got the package after 20 minutes.

It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life. Im not a fan of this particular store as a customer because of bad service and now I won't even use their FedEx drop off either. I'll just pick it up next time with my normal...

This store use to be the flagship for Dollar General Stores in the area. Now it's quite frankly a rotten store and negatively represents the principles of Dollar General. The culture in the store is negative and openly oppressive to associates that work there. The new manager has severely weak customer service skills and is clearly unaware of a basic retail premise of strong merchandising (stocked shelves) equals increased sales and customer retention. But then this manager seems more inclined to stand outside the store and smoke, often blowing smoke toward customers entering the store. I have given up going to this store. It is understocked, cluttered, dirty, and uninviting. At one point it reeked of something that had died inside the store. Even though this store is much closer to my home I will gladly drive the extra 10 miles to another DG store. While current management is in place I will never go back to that store. It is a nice building on the outside. However, on the inside it...

I went to Dollar general 2 months ago p a big tall white lady stop me at the door and accused of me stealing ppp so I told her to call the police so she called the police she was determined not to give me the product I just purchased he forcefully forcefully kept me from leaving the store with my product so the police came they watch the video where she was forcefully keeping my product that was not going to give it back I told the police I stole nothing just Rudeand ugly to me so people be very careful when you go to that Dollar general because she is racist with Hispanic people she will accuse you of stealing p and not give you your products back so then if I was so guilty of stealing why would I wait for the police she can never tell me what I stole because I stole nothing so I'm just letting people beware of that...
