Everything was perfect for the 2 yr old birthday party I was attending. There had been a gender reveal at the larger pavilion and when it was over, a group of young people that had attended it came over just past our pavilion and two of the girls started fighting like cats and dogs in the parking lot. I had never witnessed anything like it and was so sorry our little ones had to see this foolish behavior. I thought for sure some of the men in the park would intervene and when they didn't, I found myself walking towards the fighters, who were surrounded by other young people who had migrated with them from the gender reveal and were watching and recording, when they stopped and dispersed. Fifteen to twenty minutes later five police cars came patrolling through - too late to catch the senseless fighters. That fight really ruined the spirit of our party and we all...
   Read moreThe Ripley City Park is one of my favorite local parks.
It has a 1.1 mile long track on hilly terrain which is perfect for people who like to train cardio. And if you need a break, there are benches all along the way.
If cardio isn't your thing, there's also a tennis court and frisbee golf. There's also large picnic areas for parties or gatherings.
And sometimes you can see some really pretty sunsets/sunrises if you go up onto the largest hill.
All in all, this park has a little bit of everything...
