Raised the price again. The lady in the cart that sits at the top to keep an eye on everyone followed our camper all the way down. When we parked she questioned my husband what our intentions were going to be there if we were there for just the day. I felt like we were being interigated. when he said that our family were there just to fish and we found a parking spot she said good I'm glad you found the perfect parking spot I was going to help you find one.... well I wasn't quite sure what she meant by that since there were about 25 other parking spots and we had no problem finding one. She circled our rv and asked if we have been there before and I turned around and said yes many times she said okay good and left. This was the most craziest experience we've had and felt very uncomfortable with all of this interrogation. She kept trying to talk to my husband all the time while ignoring the rest of the family not sure if I want to come back here again. We don't catch very big fish here and we have to listen to big dogs barking and barking. No relaxation. The small speed boats get too close to fisherman with their boats. So MUCH better to go to Hi-C not pay anything and catch bigger trout. Just our opinion from our experiences at this place. And you don't have an older white haired lady flirting with your spouse in front of kids...
Read moreWe love this place! Talked about 20 minutes to get there from ammon and we love the trails along the edge. You can hike south and fish or swim or keep going for quite a while but I will say that each time we've ventured south, there seems to be red ants along the trail most of the way. So, if you have on decent shoes and don't stop, it's not that bad. If you go north, you can hop on the trail just past the porta potty, before the boat parking. The view is gorgeous and you can take the trail quite a ways along the base of the hills. We usually drop down and walk the shoreline back. I have come across 2 rattlesnakes over the past few years but it was pretty hot out and they skidoodled as soon as we saw them. If you like ice fishing, great place in the winter but the road may be closed so you have to figure out how to get there without a car/ truck. Oh yeah, cash only, $5 to get in during the summer season but it's worth it, they keep everything clean...
Read moreI have been boating on a week day & on a weekend (June-August). Weekends are packed with boats UT it's still doable. Just always have the driver & one other adult looking out for other boats to keep everyone safe. Weekdays are perfect. Hardly any boats out on the water. Note you must bring your own water as there Is so no drinking water. There is a out house (non flushable). Bring a canopy for shade or reserve a picnic shelter. This year (2023) the water level is really high so there wasn't really any sand/dirt for kids to play in (just grasblackmail! There is NO cell phone reception so plan & communicate ahead of time if your meeting up with friends or family. It's about 5.00 or 6.00 dollars to get in for the day.
We love...
