Don’t let all these recent 5 star reviews fool you. I’ve been in the service industry for 15 years plus and have coordinated multiple weddings, award shows, events, rock shows and more. I’ve never met a more unprofessional event staff/owners in my life. The wedding I coordinated was supposed to have the entire weekend for their big day. They signed the contract 18 months in advance. The event space owner, Claire called the bride on the day before the wedding to inform them they couldn’t set up that day or have their rehearsal there. The owners apparently don’t have a calendar or know how to check it as they double booked on Friday for another wedding. Funny story is a bridesmaid of the wedding knew the groom of the Friday wedding and that bride and groom were allowed to set up on Thursday and have their rehearsal. That’s how small Louisville is. An hour before the wedding ended on Saturday, the owners told the bride and groom they no longer had until 12pm on Sunday to remove everything even though that was in the contract. Why not tell us earlier in the day? Why wait until the last second? They truly ruined the entire day and evening. I have never seen someone so unapologetic for their mistakes. All these recent reviews mention they tried to fix it? What did they fix and what were the solutions? I didn’t see them. The farm is somewhat pretty but the bathrooms stink so bad like sewage, the owners stole catered food from the bride and groom and the fans are all on one breaker instead of multiples.
There are a lot of other venues in town that are a better price, have a professional and caring staff, know how to run events, communicate properly, and will make the wedding party feel...
Read moreAsked in February or March if I could use tower heaters for our November wedding and was approved. Then after spending the money on them, spending the hours assembling them, then transporting them there. That was when the owners decided to “call the fire Marshall and check” and told me I couldn’t use them because of “carbon dioxide build up”…. Carbon dioxide... Dioxide. It was actually below freezing that night and pretty much forced a lot of the elderly out fairly early in the evening. Edit: I specifically said the outdoor style radiant propane tower heaters like they use in restaurants since you billed your venue as "open air" due to covid restrictions. I wouldn't have chosen your venue if I had not believed you had fully understood what I was saying. I offered to buy indoor safe UL rated heaters as well and was denied for the same reason "carbon dioxide" buildup. This response really makes me feel as though you don't really call. We could have opened the doors. The water fall was kind of sprung on us too and then was described as a short walk across a creek. And she even stated that it was to help build up yall's social media presence. Not a truly altruistic act if you ask me but I understand that and that's why you hadn't receive one star. But here's an update. We paid $2-300 for the fire after you offered it so I would hardly call that sprung on you more of just a service we paid for. I have attached the text message of you confirming we can use them for reference, in linguistics heavily indicating intention to use them inside. Some would refer to this as a bait and switch but I will more kindly refer to it as a...
Read moreIn response to the reply from Ian. Of course you owe the damage deposit back because nothing was damaged. The problem is you’re willing to give a “discount” for Friday when we were not allowed access to the venue that day. You can say all the pretty words and copy and paste this worthless “apology” but until you actually do something, it means nothing and is just a ploy to make yourself look better
DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. My sister used Land O’ Goshen farm for her wedding this weekend September 30th. We booked it with a signed and paid for contract from Friday morning to Saturday night. We wanted to be able to go Friday to set up all the decorations and have the rehearsal there. After reserving and having a contract for almost 2 years, They called Friday morning to say we couldn’t come because they had booked another wedding. We ended up getting there super early Saturday to set up and the bride was so stressed and anxious. When talking to them and making plans this whole time they told us we had noon Sunday to come back and clean everything up. They told us with an hour left of the reception that we had to have everything cleaned out that night, because they rented all day Sunday out to someone else. They also took 15 Togo boxes of food from the catering without asking. While the venue is nice and the scenery is pretty, it is not worth it. I wouldn’t have even written this review if they had shown real remorse but they won’t even give us the money back we paid for the days we weren’t allowed to use...
