Quite the little gem on the river near US Steel in River Rouge. One large pavilion with 3 picnic tables provides plenty of shelter for a small to medium gathering. Rent for the pavilion is $100 for the whole day and that covers admission fees for all. Otherwise, the fact that you need to have a city pass to enter, keeps unwanted loiterers from interrupting your party. Plenty of shade trees near the shelter. Regardless, the view of the bridge did not disappoint. The little lighthouse is cute but there's nothing telling its story. Instead the sign board talks about the ship building that used to take place nearby, including that of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Again, too bad they charge admission for those just...
