I had no idea Antietam Lake Park existed a month ago! I found it while searching on Google for new places to walk my dog. I really like it here and am excited to explore more of the trails. The parking lot is nice and open and there is even a bathroom (though it's been locked every time I go, I assume because it is winter). There is also a tool station for bicycles with an air pump and various tools for fixing bikes - I don't know exactly what because I don't know anything about bikes, but it seemed very well stocked. The lake is so nice to look at and there have been people ice fishing every time I've gone. There are signs stating that the waters are stocked for fishing so I am excited to try that in the summer. There are lots of different spots to park at to go on different parts of the trail that I have yet to explore. The only downside is that the road to cross to get to the lake is windy and sometimes cars fly around the corners and it's hard to see. Overall, it's a really nice place to do some light hiking and bike,...

A beautiful place to come enjoy the outdoors and the lake. Trails go around the lake, but there's also an intricate network of trails going into the forest that surrounds the lake. If you enjoy both lake views, but also a nice walk in the woods: this is a place for you. There's also fishing allowed at the lake. (for those whom do) This park is one of the only ones in the nearby area that has restrooms readily available for the public to use at their disposal. You never know when you'll need to relieve yourself of all that water you just drank while going on your walk. Trust me, come prepared and you'll have a great time here. Don't, and you'll be crying the blues for a little before being reminded that you are here, and not stuck at home with no fresh air or a waterfall to help calm you when you may not be doing so well at staying calm. I'm actually looking to coming here to meditate in the future. That's my plan ladies and gents. Good hiking and trekking...

During my return journey to Philadelphia, I serendipitously stumbled upon a breathtaking locale that beckoned me to linger a while longer. This enchanting place exuded an unparalleled sense of serenity and tranquility that proved irresistible. As I meandered through its picturesque landscapes, I found myself completely enthralled by the awe-inspiring vistas of towering mountains and a pristine lake. The timing couldn't have been more perfect, as the landscape was draped in the vibrant hues of autumn foliage, creating a spectacle of unparalleled natural beauty. It's one of those moments where words fall short, for no language can truly capture the sheer magnificence of the scenery that unfolded...

I wish the waterfall wasn't blocked off to the public. The creek attached to it is so nice.... I took my son and a cop had us leave. Very nice about it I just wish it was allowed to be seen... Esp to enjoy for pictures (which I did take). Besides that the lake is great to walk around and yes you are allowed to do that. I never fished there but I imagine it gets packed.... Nice parking area though and not confusing.
