I recently hiked some great trails that offer a good mix of terrain. The paths are well-maintained overall, though there are some rocky spots that add a bit of challenge, making it more interesting for experienced hikers. For those looking to take a break or enjoy a meal, there’s a nice picnic area, which is a perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery. It's definitely a good option for anyone looking for a peaceful hike with a bit of adventure!"

Pros: The hiking trails are well marked and well kept! No overgrown spots. It was peaceful, with no road noise. Cell service from TMO throughout. Cons: the entrance road to Chestnut Hill Access was a dirt road that has been washed out by rain in multiple areas. It's basically a 4x4 road now, I don't think my Corolla could have navigated it. Also the trails are rocky - not great for very little kids.

Nice trails for mountain bike rides, hikes and horses. Trails are marked well. Some of the trails have many rocks but totally manageable. Beautiful scenery and a large campground. I think it’s boy scouts?

If you're into birds, butterflies, dragonflys and frogs then this is the place to go. We've seen a scarlet tanager, cedar waxwings, ovenbirds and a whole bunch of warblers a few months ago when we went. They have a list of all birds spotted there which is awesome. Its incredibly peaceful and has very nice trails all around. Sometimes it feels like I'm in the mountains. We went on a saturday with perfect weather and didn't pass a single person on the trails until we got back to the parking area. Their is also a basketball court where we park. The trails are mainly in the woods but they are well maintained and just simply beautiful....

Really beautiful preserve. This place has over 11 miles of trails on over 600 acres of woods. The preserve has maps on the back of all the kiosks at each entrances. In addition to the traditional painted rectangles on trees they also have directional signposts at intersecting trails ( a few are need of repair). The woods varies in plant species and has streams running through it including Pigeon Creek. (A huge improvement would be to add a natural rock path in moist areas of the trail near Pigeon Creek to keep people from widening the trail- rock path like near Gordon Tripp Clements Shelter.) Several markers show where...

I drove around for 20 minutes just trying to find the entrance, the sign is small and the driveway has an ADT sign so it looks like you’re pulling into someone’s driveway, then it was one single lane like if another car comes you have to reverse completely so someone can get through. Very confusing. I actually want to edit after the hike it’s even worse. There’s swarms of mosquitos- I go to parks all over and I’ve never experienced anything like this. You cannot get away from the bussing around your face. Updating to 1 star...
