Spencer Park and Beach — Attraction in Rochester Hills

I’m sorry but do not come here if you want to have fun. They literally came up to me and examined my can to make sure it was not beer… They also will not allow you to wear a life jacket or use any flotation device for some reason. Everything was good and my kids have fun. The only problem that I have is me and my fiancé got my 10 month old daughter, a floaty, so she can enjoy the water as well without drowning, and my son had a life jacket to also protect him from drowning and two female lifeguards each time came and told us that we couldn’t have a life jacket for my son, or a floaty for my daughter, which is a big problem for me, because those items are to protect my children from drowning, and we couldn’t have those in the water. Why are they charging a fee to enter a public park?! That's what my taxes are for (and what's left of our social safety nets, but instead everything goes straight to the wealthy and the military industrial complex instead of basic services we actually need).
