Out in the middle of nowhere; be prepared for a long walk anywhere you go from arrival to departure. Plenty of parking, the drive up covered main entrance is not for hotel guests checking in, the hotel entrance is off to the left. No signage or information available pointing you that direction until you are in the 1st set of doors. A long walk from curbside to desk services then to the hotel hallways. Before riding the elevator, you might think about taking a break on the bench with the purple fuzzy pillow because it is a very long hallway to your room. The stairs are at the end of the hallway and by the elevators. A halfway point would be a more convenient and logical place. There is not much to do besides gambling or sitting outside on the huge patio. The pool is basically an one or two person wading pool. The hot tub is smaller than my bathtub at home. Bally's should invest some of the money into improvements in these areas. The pool & hot tub is open from 6am until midnight with adults only starting at 10pm. Honestly the hotel is not set up for a kid friendly stay. No play ground area, tiny pool, no arcade available to occupy kids. The golfing option is a joke. Who wants to hit balls into the water? Outdated concept and I have never seen a single person out there.
As for the rooms, housekeeping staff has always been friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious, large bathroom area, comfortable beds, easy to use safe in the armoire/ closet, plenty of drawers for personal items. However, everytime I've stayed there is dust on the round table or on the headboard or the shelf under the sink. This stay the dust was everywhere, i opened the furnace door and was in shock!!! Come on housekeeping tell your Maintenance dept to change the filters and clean them.
If Bally's wants to compete with the other casino/ hotels in the area, they need to step it up a lot. *Pool improvements (go over to rhythm city and look at their huge rectangular hot tub, its almost bigger than your pool)
Every hotel room has its flaws and perks.
Usually don't...
Read moreMy family and I had to attend the funeral of my grandmother and stayed at the hotel as it was the closest one. We paid over $1,000 to stay here and will NEVER return. The precautions taken for COVID-19 are 100% necessary; however, my family and I do not gamble and were not there to go to the casino. They only have one door open for both hotel and casino guests. This means that to get to your hotel room, you have to wait in a rope line out the door to have them check your I.D. and scan your temperature before they force you to go in and then out of the casino to count their numbers. Every single security guard told us something different and most could not understand that we didn’t want to go to the casino, we just wanted to go to our hotel room. Why would they need to count us if we weren’t there to gamble? They already know how many people have booked their hotel. It makes absolutely no sense unless they are illegally counting us as patrons of their casino. I cannot comment on the casino experience, but this company needs to get it together and make sure all their employees are on the same page. They also need to separate their hotel and casino lines as there are people who just need to get to their hotel rooms. My family works in the hospitality industry and this is not how you run a consumer-focused business. I understand that these are unprecedented times, but you should have a MUCH better plan before opening your hotel. When we talked to the front desk about this, they said that the hospitality company that owns Jumers, Delaware North in NY, are the ones we will have to talk to. I am still trying to get in contact with them to file an official complaint. Remember we spent over $1,000 to stay at their hotel to have to argue with security every single time we left and came back in (it was a new security guard almost every time). I cannot comment on the casino, but avoid the hotel...
Read morePros: Hotel/casino seemed modern and clean. Feel it should be a law to have a drink shelf in bathroom above the urinal to be ADA compliant. Thank you for that.
Sportbook well designed and fun...except for my BILs NBA picks
SB staff, buffet, casino table, entry/exit, and hotel employees all friendly and professional.
Didn't use the pool but can vouch as to its availability
Casino is small but never felt overcrowded with a good variety of tables games and slots
Food was comparable to or even slightly better than other casinos I've visited.
Cons: HVAC system obnoxiously loud and room seemed dry
Who designed these bathrooms? Unlike every hotel I've ever stayed in there is a frosted window separating shower/bathroom and the sleeping quarters. At first it was a strange novelty noticing my buddy's silhouette taking a shower while I was watching TV. If i would have thought ahead I would have grabbed a sausage from the buffet for my shower and became the stuff of legends. While just an oddity for me I noticed several families were staying there thought about a child watching a parent shower. Not to mention that for some reason the shower - toilet area is separated by two glass partitions. Having 30 years of marriage I know that sometime it is convenient to have one person shower while the other will primp or use the facilities at the same time for time management. Now you can keep track of each other's 'business'. This also begs what happens when a child needing to use the facilities in an emergency situation and daddy or mommy are in the shower.
I now fear I may never be able to stay in the same hotel/casino more than once...feeling compelled to find a venue with a similar or even more impractical bathroom set up if...
