Murph Park — Attraction in Rockport

This park is excellent place to chill ! Great for the kids ! The water is shallow and clear there is not much sand and lots of oysters shells so ware sandals or water shoes there are picnic tables, some nice shade and a portable toilet! The park is clean Sonic you visit please pick up your trash and pick up Any other rubbish you see it’s the right thing to do ! Beach walk was great, but caution must be taken to walk along the shoreline because of the oyster shells-wear shoes! Be watchful for alligators even though we didn’t see any on our adventure. Overall we did see many jellyfish and wading shore birds such as the Eastern Great Egret, Sandhill Cranes and a large Blue Heron. We will be back in the future to do more exploring! Great free bay access park for fishing or kayak launch. Appears to be a gradual slope for wade fishing but I would be cautious as there are a lot of alligator sightings at the park.
