Vintage Air Tours-Rockport — Attraction in Rockport

Purchased the flight as a surprise for my mother's 80th birthday. I accidentally deleted the confirmation email. When I reached out they immediately resent the confirmation.

On arrival we were greeted warmly by the airport crew and offered free water and juice.

At the time of the reservation Benjamin was everything i could have asked for. He was professional and patient as he walked our group around the PT-17. He explained the history and the function of the different parts of the aircraft.

Time for flight. Ben helped my mom climb on to the wing and then in to the cockpit. Setbelt and radio gear was placed and he cranked the old girl alive. Once airborne he flew mom around the local area giving a tour. She was allowed to take control of the stick too. Back on the ground there are tshirts for purchase and a cool old record player that adds to the ambiance of the experience.

What a fantastic experience! My biplane tour with Benjamin was beyond anything I could have hoped for. His enthusiastic presentation about Betty’s WWII history as a military training aircraft made my flight even more special. I truly enjoyed walking through the pre-boarding inspection as Benjamin described each part of the biplane and it’s functions, and then actually taking the “stick” and flying Betty myself was exhilarating! Our flight over the crowd at Rockport Beach on Memorial Day weekend was a true highlight as Benjamin flew back and forth over the beach performing a series of descending turns (with fly-by smoke!) that the beach goers were able to witness and enjoy up close. I cannot say enough about Benjamin! He is an excellent pilot and made my flight unforgettable. A well done experience. My wife buys experiences for me rather than shirts or ties so she never has to worry about fitting or colors. The only thing she is concerned with is will it hit my "Yeah Baby" button and put a five mile smile on my face. My flight time excitement with Betty started as soon as the engine caught, the noise level increased and air frame rumbling from the vibration. Jeremy asked if I was ready for wheels up and he got the thumbs up in the mirror so we rolled. Things that happen in the air stay in the air so I won't go into everything that happened other than to say "Yeah Baby!"
