The MOST pretentious and self absorbed community I have ever been a part of. Young professionals, Beware. The older crowd is too busy talking about how “they made it” to the lake instead of lending an ear to others experiences. A retired construction worker will tell a restaurant how they should cook or run their business. Everybody somehow becomes experts in trades they have never put their time into. The young folk do NOT stand much of a chance out here because of the miserable ol’ timers envy. Misery loves company, ever heard of that phrase? It exists ever so presently here. We treated people with kindness and honesty only to be stabbed in the back time and time again. Not everyone here is difficult to get along with but the vast majority of the populace here have ALL of the answers with little to no experience in certain subject matter. Conversations are weak and often self centered.Imagine trying to “shoot the crap” and all you receive in conversation is how someone has made their money or why someone else is doing better than theirselves because of family ties etc.. It’s a beautiful place to live but people make a community and I would never recommend a spot like this for happy young families. There are a lot of really good people here but is overshadowed by the majority...
