It's brand new but isn't really that nice.
I also noticed a weird phenomenon while I was there: no English being spoken. Out of 50 people on the pier there were only a couple English speakers. Lots of Spanish and Arabic bring spoken, not a great look in my opinion. A few fisherman as well, they seemed nice for the most part. But the pier looked run down, and it's brand new! Not sure how this happened but I grabbed the little square wooden rail that has a million individual blocks cut and the first piece I grabbed was loose as a goose!! I just thought: more waste of our tax dollars. Lake looked decent. Not enough parking
Lots of illegal parking happening because they didn't design enough parking into area, but that also keeps the amount of people at a minimum, which is nicer than having it totally Jam packed, but the foreigners couldn't understand the round about area, cars just pulled over and double parked like crazy. What a mess. Where did the bait shop go? Fish sculpture was a nice touch. Big ugly seating will last forever because it's just a plastic log. Oh well, at least there was an attempt at making the pier nice, I suppose. Won't be back for long time, too many...

And you can fish off the very long pier, that is wonderfully redone. It even has a portion of it where they've hung up awnings to provide some shade. There are picnic tables and wonderful landscaping and even a little bridge. And the fish sculpture is wonderful . They took away a fair amount of parking with the redesign, so bear that in mind. But there are some wonderful seating tiered steps that would be a great place to watch both the sunset and the sunrise, given the two different angles. It's a very thoughtful redesign and well done. The only reason why it's not four stars is there's not really any public concessions, the parking is tight, and best as I could tell there weren't any restrooms. But absolutely a wonderful...
Read moreA great stop while cruising.
Very small, quiet spot. A beautiful beach even with gray skies.. water was very clean. A few tables available for a picnic in grass area. Fishing pier was closed when we there..and some construction fences up -we will be back to check out fishing. There appears to be a bait store..hopefully opening for the season.
There were also no swimming signs in place.
There was a no trespassing sign (akwardly placed) towards the beach on the right side of the pier...and path leading up a hill...assuming that the path is or leads to private property..there really doesn't seem to be any public hiking path..and can't tell if that side of the beach is private...
