I really loved this place! It is soo calm and peaceful and the water was really warm. I also wanna say that I think it's a BEAUTIFUL place to take anyone to have a.picnic with with nice huge oak trees, picnic tables,BBQ grills,a water pump(that DOES work after pumpi6a few times..)under green, freshly nice cut grass with zero mosquitos unless u adventure the trails around the archery part of the place that made me wanna have my fishing pole IMMEDIATELY 😄I absolutely LOVED the character of this place, if u drive to the end u will understand how I felt. And that was only last week barely! SUPER peaceful chillax and fun to explore, and I'm going to venture next time with a fishing pole!!! 😊I recommend if in the area and have nothing to do (as I just moved here as well,...) worth a look.. and on ALL sides of the crow.. many things nature calling can give u...

Good long hiking trails with a variety of prairie and wood hikes, but be prepared for horse droppings even on supposedly hiking only (non-horse) trails. Be prepared for the "barn" smell and flies in the hotter months.

The numerous rolling hills provide plenty of different views of Crow River (from bluffs and down at riverside), prairies, ponds, fields, and the surrounding countryside. It provides a good contrast from the relatively nearby Elm Creek Park Reserve.

The trail intersections are numerically marked with the current location (eg 18) and the trails next intersection (eg 12, so it would say "18 to 12") but you have to bring your own printed map since most intersections don't have a map on display.

Half of the trailways are soft sand for the horses which can be difficult to walk on unless you go to the side...

Great Group Camping Spot. Primitive sites with clean vault toilets, one water spigot, horse barn with access to riding/hiking trails. Picnic tables, fire ring, provided wood. The site we were on accommodates 80ppl. $120/night. Campsite is next to the Crow River, river mile marker 10. Great kayaking/canoeing. Drop in up river at river mile marker 15.2-Riverside County Park and kayak to the Put In a 1/2 mile down the road from the campsite at river mile marker 9.5, or drop in there, and go 9.5 river miles to the Mississippi in Dayton, MN. Be prepared to carry your vessel(s) at river mile marker 9.5. it's about a 1/4 mike from the river to the parking lot. There's a picnic area and great dog park at mile...

I've been on a mission of exploring regional parks around the Twin Cities. Crow-Hassan is high on my list of favorites. I arrived early on a foggy spring morning. I wandered for a couple hours, only seeing a couple others out and about. There were dozens of birds singing and calling away all morning - two swans flew by, there was a three with 5 turkey vultures, geese were splashing in the pond. I also saw a family of whitetail deer. There had recently been a controlled prairie burn, and so in some parts it smelled of scorched earth. It was a nice mix of prairie, lakes, and woods. Nice trails, some rolls, but no big hills. Will definitely be back!

Great spot to do some off leash hiking with your dog. There were lots of small beaches off the river, so you can find a quiet spot to let your dog swim. Majority of trails are sandy, but wide and easy to traverse in most places. Some smaller side trials that require ducking under or stepping over fallen trees, but we didn't encounter anything too intense. Absolutely do not make the same mistakes as us, bring bug spray. The mosquitoes are very intense as of June.
