If you love to hit the singletrack, this place is for you. At the top of this mountain-biker's playground is the rail-yard bike park where you can try out your skills on all sorts of freestyle jumps, ramps, berms, etc. Or if you're like me and all you want to do is cruise on singletrack, you can skip the freestyle park and go straight to the trails. In a few short years, they've turned this sleepy little lake with a pavilion and few picnic tables into a park that has something to offer for the whole family. If you just want to spend the day with the kiddos, they have a really nice new playground in the park, complete with a relatively nice restroom. As mentioned previously, if you like bmx freestyle, the railyard has a whole slew of stunts to try. My favorite is the Mt. biking trails they've developed. There are trails for every level of riding and even some technical devices near the top of the trail. There's also a really nice paved multi-use trail that circuits the lake if want to take a leisurely walk with the whole family in tow. All in all, this is just one more family friendly attraction to add to the appeal of living in...

Great paved trail to walk while pushing a stroller or taking the kids on their bikes 🚲 (might be too far for 6 year olds to walk) 😃. Absolutely gorgeous scenery 🌲 🌳 to enjoy and clear your mind & anxieties. I’ve seen people fishing here and putting a kayak in the lake. Nicely shaded for most of the trail which is 1.8 miles around the loop. There’s also restrooms and playgrounds for the kids to expend their energy. Just be careful when it’s hot bc a lot of it is metal and it’s not shaded. It’s one of my favorite spots when we don’t have anything planned, but want to be a...

What a transformation!! I have fond memories of Lake Atalanta from when I was young. We stopped going for a long time, as it had become really run down. But it’s back and almost better than ever! I say almost, because it doesn’t have mini golf or paddle boats anymore, or a pool. But the trail is amazing, with half of it being boardwalk style over the water. All new facilities, pavilions, and playgrounds, and even a tree house! It’s definitely earned it’s spot in the list of places to bring the family again. :)
