The movie was great and we had a great time my boyfriend took me here for my birthday for a surprise movie date however the one issue we noticed was the food counter needs more than one person working it not three or more standing behind it talking and one person actually working it.
There were workers standing around wanting to talk to each other instead of taking orders from the customers there was only one employee who was doing everything he could and more beyond his means; we witnessed the struggle he was having when the other employees were dodging customers at the food counter; they were too busy standing around behind the food counter distracting everyone. We watched this one employee; he handled a large order of a family of 5 in front of us... We, my boyfriend and I felt like we were overwhelming him in line awhile he was helping the large order of the family in front of us and so we got tired of waiting, so we decided to go find our seats just letting him get caught up we was there for a bit about 10-15 mins before we decided to go try again at the food counter and that same employee just almost got finished with that family's order we did have to wait another 5 minutes at the food counter waiting on that one employee to get caught up but the other two employees that were just taking up space behind the counter after waiting and listening to their full conversation we oddly get asked can I help you by the one that's doing the most talking; we didn't see him do anything other than stand around and talk the whole time awhile waiting in line, we told him we just wanted a soda and he dismisses us by saying "go to the other guy" and points at him the one that seems to be busiest out of them all and when we looked away from the employee pointing at the busy one his co-worker he went into the back room quickly before anybody else from the food counter line ask him to take their orders.. so he leaves us with the employee that was doing it all in the...
Read moreJust saw Fantastic Four and Superman haven’t seen a movie in like 10 years.
You get the whole experience here 20 dollars for a small soda and candy. Plus 20 dollars for a ticket. Pretty much cost me 80 dollars to see two movies. I remember why I don’t go now.
The movie screens remind me of my great grandmas house who had HGTV burned into her screen. Each screen has some type of image burned on the screen. Saw two Sci-fi movies and thought they were just stars but they were there the whole time. Also nobody checks tickets you can walk in and get your soda and shit and just go straight in nobody has checked tickets when I go in or tells you where to go. They don’t even post the movies playing out front on the sign anymore they make enough money here on snacks and candy to care about tickets or posting what’s playing lol. Wait till the movies hit streaming the experience here is just what everybody complains about when they complain about movies. Comfy seats and pretty clean at least it’s nicer then it use to be but you’re paying for it. Do yourself a favor and just walk in if you want to see a movie and show yourself to your seat and bring your own snacks and candy you can probably go for free here. All the workers just work the food bar and I see why. Since people buy their own...
Read morePrices are normal; even less than average when compared to larger cinemas. Seeing a movie in every major city I've been to was $12 at the least. Most also charge extra for opening night. (dis-including the discount theaters that only play old movies) Snacks seem to the normal markup from wholesale one sees at a theater. One cannot date sound equipment by ear unless it's a Victrola crank phonograph; the sound is more than passable it's just not the '3D' sound one finds in larger theaters, merely a 7.1 surround writ large. Once, and only once during the fives years I saw a movie every weekend only one time did the sound quit. They said I could stay for a second showing. All in all for a four-screen small-town cinema its among the better ones I have been to.
In short; it's small and dated, in need of remodel, but dated and small do not make a terrible place. Only qualm is movie rotation; whomever is in charge of keeping movies and when to get new ones . . is doing a poor job. I generally wait a week to see a new movie and this has made me miss some; while I note other seem to be retained...
