Sylvan is literally my favorite place in the world. I grew up going to my grandparents' lake house, and it has remained much the same since then. A bit more rowdy, perhaps, with the surf boats, but I can't blame them for having fun. I'm right there with them, skiing, wakeboarding, and tubing my head off as much as I can. This is a fantastic lake with a lovely little town. And the fireworks displays are about as good as they get, every year.

This is a great lake for fishing year round. You catch fish just as well in winter as summer. Actually some of my best days have been on the ice. When you get tired of fishing from the boat at times you can do just as well...
