Weather was perfect! It was supposed to have snow and they opened later than normal foe the camp grounds, but as a long time visitor since I was a kid, it had been 23 years since I had been back. Fishing was decent. We caught at least 3-5 per outing about 2x a day during Memorial Weekend. I stayed at the Lodge hotel WiFi only available in the Lodge. My parents campsite was a gorgeous location and that's where most my photos came from. Lunch, Snack, Dinner, Breakfast & happy hour were all reasonably priced & very tastey! Read moreThe people at the marina are very helpful. The resort is big and very busy a bit crowded for so early in the year, (mid May). The lake has a 10mph speed limit. The boat launch on the eastern shore closest to the resort seems a bit small for big boats, the ramp is sheltered and the trailer parking a bit narrow. Update: middle of August, can barely see the mountains because of the smoke, it's warm, water temp is up but the 17 inch trout we caught was really fat. The eagles periodically roost in the tallest tree tops. I also noticed lots of ducks of varying species here...Mallards, Buffalheads and several other kinds near shore. The fish didn't reward us for our efforts. It could've been the wind. We were told by another boater that they limited out on trout the day before. Story of my life...my ship came in, when I was at...
