I spent my Halloween up in Umpqua National Forest in SE Oregon with my hubby, it was so peaceful and beautiful. We stayed in a cabin at Umpqua's Last Resort, which you can find on Air BNB and is situated along the Umpqua forest corridor. There are loads of hikes nearby the cabin, waterfalls, lakes and the Umpqua Hot Springs which is only about a 25 minute drive away. Umpqua hot springs are very beautiful but be mindful of your visit because it can get very crowded during the summer and the conditions up there aren't always the best. Crater Lake is also nearby but it did take us an hour and thirty minutes to get there because the north entrance of the park was closed due to snow. This was a fantastic getaway and I'll be making a full length YouTube video very soon and also a full blog post with links to the different places we visited on my Patreon. #explorepage #exploreoregon #oregon #craterlake #umpquahotsprings #umpqua #adventure

Truly a remarkable place to visit, explore and experience.

Just an 8 hour drive from the Bay Area, you have hot springs, massive waterfalls, countless hiking trails, epic scenery, and miles and miles of beautiful roads, this is probably one of my favorite national forests.

My girlfriend and I came here for the weekend and tried to cram as much as we can in one day.

We left our hotel in Roseburg as early as possible to start the adventure - we arrived at the hot springs probably around 7:00am , and it was packed already. Still had fun though.

We then continued to Winston's Falls and hiked the semi-easy trail to get to it. Barely anyone there. It was very nice.

After that, we headed to Diamond Lake - rented a boat and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of mountains surrounding us from every direction.

Lastly, went to Crater Lake and it was a breathtaking sight to see.

Overall, I don't know what I could add or complain about Umpqua National Forest.

There is a ton of things to see and do for your stay. Like I mentioned earlier, there are countless trails, rivers, camping spots, mountains, etc.

Highly recommend coming to Umpqua. Rent a hotel nearby or in Roseburg and set sail...

I was brought here on 10/162022 @ around ~6pm via something that flies very fast b/c my Google Maps showed me leaving my residence in downtown San Francisco and traveling in a completely straight line-over the Bay, countless buildings and trees - something that would be impossible via any other mode of transportation and it said that my travel time was

Toketee Falls is a great hike, and if you're feeling brave, you can climb down to the water with the help of a couple handy ropes. Watch your head in the cave, though. The ceiling falls in neat hexagonal chunks. There's a treasure trove of driftwood. A rope for making a bundle to carry out would be a good idea. Umpqua Hot Springs are really great, but not quite the party spot now that it's day use only. Still a good place to get naked and take a hot bath in a natural paradise, though, and the clear river is fantastic for cooling and rinsing off. Most of the pools are too cold and slimy, but the second from the top is perfect. There's a surprise if you hike down to the river from the hot springs. This part of Oregon is so alive...
