★ Popularity: Locally known. ★ Size/Location: Large. ★ Business Type: Park/Trails. ★ Business Hour: Dawn to dusk. ★ Activities: Outdoor activities. ★ Reservation: None. ★ Parking: Spacious. ★ Accessibility: None. ★ Facilities: Restroom. ★ Staff: None seen. ★ Pet-friendliness: Pets are allowed. ★ Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome. ★ Expense: Free. The Forest Run MetroPark Timberman Ridge Area is an excellent destination for those who enjoy a good hike or walk. With multiple trails to choose from, there's something for everyone. On my last visit, I decided to take the perimeter trail, which loops around the park and offers a variety of landscapes to admire. Along the way, I was treated to breathtaking views of distant mountains, tranquil lakes, dense woodlands, verdant wetlands, and rolling fields. Although the trails are well-maintained, the dirt path can become quite muddy in certain areas and is scattered with animal droppings, so be sure to wear appropriate footwear. Overall, I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a nature fix!

Love the paved trail. It’s nice to have a nature park that has a paved trail, on days after a heavy rain. Great place to walk dogs. They recently added a playground but it’s not open yet. Picnic tables nearby. There are porta-potties located at the start of the trail and half way point. There are a few ponds that are located near the paved trail.

My husband took me on a bike ride here for the 1st time over the weekend. I was a great trail to ride along with many areas to hop off and site see. We captured photos of a herring and a large roosting of vultures. We spent about 45 minutes but definitely could've stayed longer. Theres options of areas to fish as well!

The park is large and fairly quiet which is nice, but I only go there for my dog's sake and let me tell you... I just bought my year pass 2 days ago and I wish I could refund it because I'll never be back. After an hour at the park my dog was literally crawling with ticks. I had a few throughout the walk land on me as well. The park is nice and we'll kept but I wouldn't recommend going anywhere that's going to...

This is a great park! No playgrounds on this “branch” of the two Forest Run parks (the wildlife preserve one has some), but still plenty to do. Tons of trails and walking paths, some paved, some grass, that loop all over the park. An excellent place to take your dog. Also, there are at least three catch and release fishing ponds here as well. Very clean, well...
