Parking is limited esp between 4:30 and 6pm. the wait to park is usually not so bad. it is free. The lake(s) are super lovely and can be jogged in 25 min or hike around in about an hour. keep you pets on leash as there are fines if you do not due to the lake being drinking water. Also, do not let me or a local see you walking away from your dogs poo. This space is strictly a pick up your own poo area. We will come down on you if you disrespect this space in any way. There are trails that link up out of this location to mountain bike and connect to Deer Park and you can even connect trails all the way to the Headlands and SF if you like. Please, pick up your trash and be prepared to see a lot of people around this lake in comparison to other areas. .... if you are needing alone time for thought (or mourning) this may not be the best escape.
