Chosing where or even if to worship God, define or study His word is a very personal choice. It is the thread that opens the world to you or blows you out from the entire concept and culture, often leaving a giant pervasive hole that can last a lifetime. Both Nothside and Campus area groups (there are others being planted around Austin. It's growing around the world) support an intelligent, seeking group of singing, sharing, but hard questioning, shoot-from-the -hip people in both the congregation and the staff. If you're seriously interested in Christianity, these people can unapolgetically and enthusiastically meet you at any level. "Campus" is a little more brutally direct and university oriented, but students are there to challenge the past in all arenas to build a life of their own. Shallow and not aligned with their reality is going to get shot full of holes. One or the other will likely die: No going along to get along. North is more community, more mature and more service oriented, but no less dedicated to truth...
Read moreHave been visiting this church now for a few weeks and am always blown away by the way everyone makes you feel like family. You would think once the service is over that everyone would go their own way but it is totally opposite. Everyone sticks around to socialize and just have good conversation for what seems like forever. Very much enjoy that this church is also diverse and just full of love! I live across the street and can clearly hear them from inside my home. I've tried contacting them twice and haven't been able to speak to anyone by phone.
