I am sure that this winery serves great wine but I will never know because despite claiming they are open from 1-5 daily and there is no need for reservations, it did not seem to be open today. My friend and I each drove about an hour each to get there today. We arrived shortly after 1pm but all the doors were locked and the lights were off. We stayed until about 1:30pm before we decided to go elsewhere for the afternoon. There was no announcement on their website or Facebook page about being closed today or a change of hours. There was also no sign on the door indicating that it was closed due to a last minute schedule change. We even attempted to call the number listed without an answer. I understand that things happen but it should definitely be communicated to potential customers that the winery will not be open for whatever reason! I would recommend to anyone planning to visit to maybe call the day before, especially if you plan on going during the week, and ensure that it will be open the following day to give them a heads up. It truly is in a beautiful location and the perfect spot for a fun afternoon. It is just unfortunate there was a lack of...
Read moreAfter reading other reviews, I wonder if we were at the right place. Our experience was certainly less. A group of approximately 40, we arrived at 1:30, with closing time at 5. There were perhaps 8 different wines in each tasting selection; dry, sweet, and fruity. Each individual went to one selection. I was in sweet. It was a long time before the first came. They were very slow, in between. Jimmy was the only server, and he stopped to talk often, and tell people to "shut up". I'm sure he thought it was funny, but it was really sort of obnoxious and a turn off. At our table, the third selection was served twice. When he came to serve the fourth selection, he said it was red mountain red, but when we looked at the label, it was the same that we had been served before??? Wow.
We never finished.... no time before closing. Jimmy was too busy trying to be funny. It was a nice place, though, and enjoyed sitting with friends. I do realized that a group our size is a bit much for 1 server, but perhaps if he would take it a bit more seriously? It could be a very nice place to...

We went on Sunday afternoon at 1 PM, when it first opened.
Their sweet wines are great but you can find them for much cheaper at Walmart and some grocery stores. I am not sure why the winery charges more. You would think it would be the opposite.
Tastings were $8 for sweet or dry and $5 for Christmas wines. If you want to keep the glass, it is an additional $3.
They should have presented some snack options to cleanse the palate between tastes since they all seem to blend together after a few sips. They had a sleeve or Ritz crackers for sale for $2 but then had a sign at the bar that said no food was allowed.
The building and grounds are beautiful but in the middle of nowhere. We asked for restaurant recommendations since the best reviewed was closed on Sunday. Nothing really came to mind so we ended up at McDonald's on the way home...
Some type of cafe and a tour of the facilities would be much welcomed additions. The wine itself is very good though. On par with the...
