We are visiting family from out of state and love to visit local distilleries when we travel. Mine Hill was a great quick excursion! They are a small operation but sound like they have an awesome long term vision for their distillery!
We called ahead and Assistant Distiller Erik met us at the door. He helped make our experience stellar. Incredibly knowledgeable and personable. He gave enough details to keep my whisky wizard husband entertained with new info but also not so jargon heavy to turn off those of us wit interest. He’s clearly proud of their work!
Their product was unique and enjoyable. Their Rye and Bourbon are clearly young but you can taste the flavours developing. Their gin was good! We don’t generally enjoy gin but Mine Hill was incredibly unique and I actually enjoyed it. We bought a bottle of their Amaro though because it was so good and unique! We tasted amaro in Italy a few weeks ago and Mine Hill’s was authentic but also a unique spin. It is sweet with some bite. Trust your tasting professions when they recommend you try it!
Amazed that the tasting is free. Erik easily spent 40 minutes with us patiently answering questions. Also love their bottling and their motto with nods to their local history.

As the owner of The Blue House Bagel Co. Café, I was initially intrigued when Mine Hill Distillery reached out to collaborate. My first thought was, “Bourbon and Amaro with bagels? How in the world?” But curiosity got the best of me, and after much experimentation, something truly special was born.
We developed Bourbon French Toast Bagels, Amaro French Toast Bagels, along with Amaro Cream Cheese and Bourbon Cream Cheese. The flavors were a match made in heaven—rich, indulgent, and unlike anything else on the market. We launched these creations on Connecticut Day, and the feedback has been nothing but positive. Our customers are loving the unique twist on our traditional bagels.
This collaboration has been a delightful surprise, and we have a lot of fun stuff coming soon. I’m thrilled to be working with a distillery that shares our passion for creativity and quality. I highly recommend Mine Hill Distillery to anyone looking for exceptional products and exciting partnerships!

I recently had the pleasure of trying some of their spirits at a party and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff who were more than happy to talk us through their different alcohols. Overall, I was really impressed with the quality and variety of their spirits. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for something a little bit special for their next party or gathering.

We went for a hike to the mine hill preserve and figured we'd stop in the distillery to see what they had. We were not disappointed!
Elliot told the history of the building and area.
I really appreciate how they source local ingredients and give the used grain back to farms that can use it for feed.
The spirits were certainly "craft." All interesting and very good.
They also have some great branded merchandise.
Highly recommended.

What a cool place. Great spirits. Enjoyed the bourbon and rye. I have to say it’s the coolest old restored building I’ve seen in a long time with probably the coolest bathroom ever.

Stopped in for a quick tasting. The people were exceptionally friendly. The property was beautiful. And we really enjoyed the spirits, particularly the Rye and the Amaro.
