My husband and I just moved here from SC where there were lots of natural areas and hiking for us and our dogs. I came to Royal Palm beach pines natural area with my dog following recommendations from our realtor and landlord, who said they bring their dogs here often. We went at 8 am on a Monday. We were met after pulling in the parking lot with a lady staring us down in our car. I waited a few minutes and when I got out she approached us asking if he was a service dog and when I said no she told us we had to leave. With south FL being so insanely hot, very little trees and shade, the least these parks could do is allow dogs to enjoy the trails rather than being stuck inside all day. The lady suggested we go to a dog park and I explained to her that we don’t do dog parks because there could be aggressive dogs.
