The prairie Grass of North Dakota... You have to stop to see it and enjoy it! When you come to Rugby, make sure you stop at the geographical center of North America and enjoy the view! Small town America is what you will find here and you will find it to be quite enjoyable. Some might dispute this location, but you have to admit when you visit you will find it worth the journey. Milo has seen the northernmost point in the US, the southernmost point, the westernmost point, the easternmost point, the lowest point and the highest point that you can drive to... So he says you ought to come and visit the center most point of North America as well. Don't worry about the argument.. Milo says...

Yes, technically it's just a pile of rocks in the corner of a parking lot, but it's the excitement of realizing what it represents-- Look at a globe, if you have one, if not, a map of all of North America. All of Mexico, all of the United States, and the vast miles of Canada... How can you not feel awe to realize you are standing at the point, geographically, that is the dead center of it all?? If driving a long way through not much around to see or do doesn't bother you, and the destination is on your bucket list-- don't miss this site!! Bonus: There is a herd of bison 20 miles due south, on the West side...

Neat place to stop while on the road. Erected in 1931 in Rugby, North Dakota, the monument is supposed to represent the actual geographic center of North America. The location allegedly was determined by an employee at the U.S. Geological Survey who took a cutout of the map of North America, and balanced it on the top of a pin. Not exactly a scientific method, but there you are. There are a few other locations that make similar claims to being the center but this seems to be...
