We hiked in July with a 4 year old and 5.5 year old. Some parts were rough for them, and it was a long battle uphill, but it was absolutely worth it. It had rained the day before, so we have to cross over little streams, but that's better than slipping and sliding everywhere. Parking was confusing, which is why I gave it 4 stars. However, there is a sign trying to explain parking and saying that they're working on a better alternative. We'd definitely hike it again.

Great hike, the leaves & rain made it a little slippery and I would certainly recommend Being careful at the top because a few places have steep drop offs that could be dangerous if you're not careful. My 10 & 12 y.o. daughters enjoyed this one, we got up to the top right at sunset & stayed well past dark. Hiked down with the help of good LED flashlights.

Nice little hike. I don't agree with the previous review. It's well marked and has a small parking area.

The trail itself is beautiful, through a relatively wide path within the woods.

However, the sign posting was not great and we were sure if we reached the actual top of the mountain.

As it was getting late we turned back once we reached a set of flat rocks, which seemed the top, rather than continue looking for the loop to return to the main path.

At the trail-head there is no parking so it's tricky to get started. We ended up parking some 100 yards away on the shoulders.

It is a short hike, but the slope of the uphill section (about 800 yard)...

I'm not in great shape, it was a challenge. I can still feel the venom coursing through my veins. It was worth it, the views at the top were fantastic. My brother in-law probably could have jogged up it but we went up at my pace, which was slow. There are about 3 to 4 areas that are fairly steep. I would do it again, we had fun, it wasn't very crowded, passed a few people on the way up, that was a nice confidence boost. Wear a good pair of shoes and comfortable clothing and you'll be fine, don't forget to...

Parking was a nightmare. There are "no parking" signs at the trail head. TWO different entrances, where only one is marked with a hiking symbol. It's not obvious, but you do shoehorn your car into the tiny clearing where the trailhead is. There are two trails (based on a single sign. I they weren't marked which was which. The trails were not marked and were difficult to follow. I have no idea who is supposed to be maintaining the area, but it's very poorly...
