David L. Venella Memorial Park / Green Acres Park — Attraction in Runnemede

Very nice trail. I like to run here, asphalt path in good condition around the park about .9 miles around with trees tunneling portions of the trail, very cool. There is a small playground (I don’t have kids but playground looks meh). There is a nice dog area. There are bathrooms on site, I have never used them and cannot contest to the condition of them. They have basketball courts, tennis courts, soccer fields and softball field. The hard courts are nothing special but nice and fairly well kept especially the tennis courts.

The grass fields are not nice at all and pose a health risk for any sports that require running. Grass is very uneven and lumpy consistently throughout, lower end of the fields is very prone to swamping, making anything not possible in the area, serious ankle and knee threat if playing soccer or running down a fly ball in any of these fields. Also softball field is not kept and not in usable condition

Park is very clean and they cleaned up some of the dumping that had been occurring at the top of the path behind the housing. Family area, nice place to bring a dog. Selling feature of this park is the path...

I'm that guy on the silver bike with bluewalls and blue pegs that you'll likely see if you come here often enough. It's a great park and I really enjoy spending my time here and eating lunch or dinner in the pavilion, but two things keep it from 5 stars. First of all, I feel as though there's a wasp nest under the panelling of the pavilion, right above the middle column, which makes me a bit nervous but they haven't gotten aggressive yet. Yet. Secondly, would it kill you guys to install a water fountain next to the bathrooms? God forbid I forget to bring a beverage; even more so if I didn't forget but I just ran out. Overall it's a great park that's generally well taken care of with very minor faults. 8/10 will...
