Went camping there for a full week! It was my best experience ever!
It's very clean there. You may find garbage from time to time but that's just from ignorant guests. The park rangers are very nice and appreciative when you pick up garbage. They do a very well job in maintaining the Park/Lake.
There is a nice little park, but recently a play car got it's steering wheel ripped out. The other one falls out. It's also a bit unstable, but don't worry, The park workers should soon fix it. The car is not dangerous though, Don't be too cautious of your child!
Usually around 2:00pm a nice little concession stand opens up. Selling many things including: Hotdogs, Hamburgers, Beverages, and many different delicious icecreams! This is perfect for after swimming!
Cabins come fully equipped! They have 2 bunk beds, 4 bunks all together, a cabinet, a table w/ bench, a fly swatter, and many guides to keep you are your family safe!
Yurts seem very nice too! I personally never had one, but they seem to have a kitchen and many other essential items!
Pets are allowed here! One thing to be cautious of is that they are not allowed everywhere. Dogs are especially not allowed near the lake. If you get caught by a Park Ranger, they will make you move the dog elsewhere. There are also certain spots they cannot pass. You will find signs saying this in parts of the forest.
If you are considering visiting, It'll be worth your...
Read moreNice little state park. Free beach area with bathrooms. Parking is not close, so be prepared to carry your things downhill (a d uphill on your way home). I was here on a holiday, concessions not open, a bit loud and crowded but I have seen worse. Lake water is one of best I've ever seen with designated swimming area. No life guard on duty. They offer boat/kayak/canoe rentals. Theres a boat launch on the other side of the park if you have your own. A very nice lake to kayak in. Park rangers checked for our launch permits. Plenty of fishing spots and fish in the water. I stayed in a camping cottage/cabin equipped with: two sets of bunks, one bunk has lower full sized mattress, electricity, heater, covered porch and small table with bench inside. There is no AC or fan inside. The cottage is bigger than some others I've state at in state parks, and reasonably priced. They are in a shared area and have designated parking (so you will need to carry all of your stuff to it). There's a shared restroom in this area with showers . Cabins are fairly close together (10 maybe 15 feet apart), however during my stay the neighbors were quiet and respectful. My cottage had an over sized fire ring, which I just personally don't like as I can't see the flames. Overall, it is a nice park for...
