Hi came back to the place that once was my favorite to go and spend my evenings walking and taking in nature& distressing by the water only to find that it has drastically changed. You see,I was here in the spring and there had been a flood and the workers were hauling away debris so I took up another location for a few months thinking that It would be cleared and our favorite place would be back to the way it was before//As the town maintenance worker assured me it would be,but it’s not. The first creek access point is no longer such as it is exactly the way it was when it flooded with the exception of the big debris. I would come here and gather leaves some leaves or sometimes maybe a rock or two to possibly use in For youth and teens has this always seem to be the perfect way to get them to talk and share. I had a recent session one of the kids asked about it And I assured him I’ll bring it back. However it will have to be again from some other location because The only place two get to the beautiful area where the floods had washed up all of the very interesting and differently shaped rocks that benefited my class members so much is still just a bunch of wet mud and sand. it’s sad. Smh come on town maintenance you can...

Friends of ours asked about it too & we suggested they visit but they did not find the parking at all & went elsewhere. When putting in the location on our maps app it takes you to Industrial Park Road which is incorrect for finding parking. However, once there we enjoyed it & will be great if there is ever an expansion, which we believe is needed at some point to keep up & continue having visitors. Today was a beautiful day, not overly hot as it has been & it was surprising to see so few people there. Lastly, the paved trail, picnic shelter areas, & access to Cleghorn Creek were great. We spoke of coming back & having a...
Read moreThis is a nice, easy trail for families with young children. A lot of it is shaded, which is great in the summer!
There didn't seem to be anyone biking while we were there, and some of the trail is a bit steep, which would be a bit challenging for bikes, scooters, skates, etc.
There are some nice, clean shaded picnic areas. Everything seemed to be well maintained.
There is some access to the creek, but one set of stairs had washed away. There was unfortunately a lot of glass and broken bottles in the creek. I would recommend water shoes if you want to go in.
This is a great, short trail for an easy walk and...
