Stopped here on a long road trip to walk my dogs.
Big, clean park. Lots of grass lawn with forest perimeter that dogs love. They can access the river for wading at the boat launch.
Petty complaint: the speed bump signs are excessive, I thought. Could have a simple, small sign that just says - speed bump. These were comically big, with “CAUTION” as if Speed Bump was the name of a maniac guard dog roaming the park. Meh. Maybe years ago someone damaged their car on one and then sued the city. I can see that happening. Anyway, it’s funny. When you enter the park there’s a big sign telling you thar be speed bumps out thar. Then at every one: CAUTION SPEED BUMP in big yellow letters, so i felt like omg what!? …. And then the speed bump is a low, gentle little hump. 😆 Calm...
Read moreThe dog park here is full of awful people who literally screamed at me until I left because my dog was playing fetch with their dog and a few others. All the dogs were trying to get one frisbee and playing fine, but because my dog is a pitt mix I was told he was "trying to attack" the other lady's dog, all while wagging his tail happily. Her dog was some kind of hound lab mix that barked and howled at everyone and their dogs which was incredibly loud and annoying but my dog was the "bad guy" I was told I couldn't stay, other folks there told me it's a common problem. All the stuck up women are just rude to people who show up with a dog they don't like. I highly recommend avoiding this place if you have a friendly dog that is considered a "bully breed" unless you'd like...

Two dog park fenced areas for smaller dogs and larger has a few agility items, but their dog watering apparatus is presently almost impossible to use and the dog area has struggled in last few years with outbreaks of kennel cough, which they have combatted by aggressively changing out the non-lawn areas' surfaces with new bark mulch which has seemed to help. Dog park attendees should consider giving their pets the very simple nasal "squirt" kennel cough vaccine every 6 months if they plan on using this popular...
