Out of all the spiritual centers in Crestone, my personal favorite is HUA. Ramloti, Prem and Johnathan welcome visitors of all types and religions, making each one feel like a member of the family. The temple itself is glorious with the most beautiful murti of the Divine Mother. They go out of hair way to include visitors in the new moon and full moon ceremonies, creating a real sense of community. After the ceremonies a massive vegetarian meal is presented to all who care to partake. I spent many, many hours as a volunteer at HUA out of respect for the way the welcome and love all people. As soon as you reach the asram you are transferred to a pensive mood. Sitting under the foothills and offering pithrupooja was great .
