It's a great place to park and fish and also to relax in a atmosphere for disabled people who are homeless and living in their Vehicles which shouldn't be happening to anyone during this pandemic! The State of Vermont got a hefty paycheck from the Federal Government Agencies and I just recently read an article about how Vermont want's to use most of the money that is supposed to be helping people out of their situations! But of course the government of Vermont wants to put 99%of the money back in too the General Funds that good ole Vermont have spent on the people that where homeless or lost their homes because of a disease that came from another country as usual. Vermont voters actually voted for these greedy SOB's and they are still not supporting their Residents of Vermont but yet lining their pockets with federal government aid for themselves in their own homes before they spend it for what it was meant to be used for! ELECTIONS are just around the corner and don't vote for these people who are in office right now! Our Democratic leaders are the only ones who have a heart and they make sure that these greedy Republicans are keeping most of it for themselves! Thanks Bernie Sanders, Peter Welch and and the others who are looking out for the people who are really trying to stay afloat during this pandemic. Keep out the knew people who are from other countries and we wouldn't be suffering from this disease or anything else that we always have been through the past...

Kamp Kill Care State Park is a little tucked away, but at the same time, not very difficult to access. There is plenty of parking and the views of the lake and Champlain Islands are excellent. Kamp Kill Care State Park is where you need to go to access Burton Island State Park via a ferry, which is visible from the shores of Kill Care. This is a great fishing spot or just a nice place to relax and spend an afternoon or evening. You have the option of either sun or shaded areas within this park as well. The park is open until around sunset and there are grills available throughout the park. Overall, my experience has been that this is a quieter place than the town park, down the road over the handful of times that I have been here. This is a great place to come and watch the sunset as well. The staff at this park are always very friendly and helpful. There are so many great state parks in Vermont, and Kamp Kill Care is one of the best along the Champlain Valley here in...

Alright, folks, here’s the lowdown on this state park. It’s a lovely spot, definitely worth a visit. But let’s talk about the $5 per adult fee from May to September. A bit steep, right? But hey, if you’re taking the ferry to Burton Island, it’s worth it.

The island day trip is gorgeous. Camping galore, and you can rent canoes and kayaks to complete your rugged outdoor fantasy.

Now, the punchline: This place is gnat heaven—no, scratch that—gnat hell. I swear, they must have a gnat breeding program here. Bring your bug spray, folks, because these little monsters are...

Beautiful lake front park! The unique history of this park is interesting and the views of Lake Champlain are stunning! This is a day use park so no dogs are allowed, trash is carry in/carry out. Great spot for swimming, picnicking and there is space for events. Rentals are available and there is a boat launch as well. Burton Island is a short trip away via the Island Runner passenger ferry which docks at Kill Kare. The large home which once served as the living quarters for a boy's camp houses the bathrooms and a small informational museum of sorts in the main room downstairs.

Gorgeous place. We went for the eclipse, so didn't explore what was around the park. We're from out of state, so not familiar with VT parks, but Kill Kare was gorgeous and clean. Only "not favorite" thing was the porta potties, one of which was lethal from 7 am on...
