We enjoy visiting this 8 acre park. The pavilion, playground, and seasonal restrooms are on the same level as the accessible parking. The pavilion has 6 picnic tables, a bar-b-que grill, and several trash recepticals. The playground says that it is for ages 2 to 12. The younger half of that range enjoy it the most. The seasonal restrooms are open April 1 to November 14. There is a steep walk down a grassy bank to reach the flat field. The flat field is often marshy. There is an erosion issue on one side. Hopefully, they will be able to stop it by planting erosion resistant trees such as willows. We especially enjoy the scenic view of the pond which is across the flat field. There is an island which helps the ducks with nesting. Adjacent to the flat field is one of the biggest sledding hills in St. Charles. There is a trail which descends to a bridge over a creek to reach Webster Park. A lot of people walk their dogs in Heatherbrook Park. Watch where you walk.

I visited this park for the sole purpose of hiking AllTrails Heatherbrook and Webster Park Trail. The trail connects the two parks, Heatherbrook and Webster, which I don't really see the point of beyond providing a decent, shady walk through the woods. For those out to use the park facilities, it's easier just to drive directly to each individual park. As trails go, I enjoyed the hike, but there is no way this trail would be navigable in wet weather or for a few days after a rainstorm - it's almost exclusively dirt with a lot of erosion from water runoff. I'm glad I picked a dry day after a few days with no rain. Still, it's nice that the City of St Charles has set aside this land for Park use and is doing a pretty good job of maintaining it, including a community building in Webster Park that looks very inviting for group activities. Plus there are toilets in each of the parks.

What a cute little park! Nestled in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood on the edge of town, this park overlooks a scenic trail, large open field, and pond. The facilities are brand new and look great, including a gazebo with several tables, jungle gym, and restrooms. I am so grateful to the City of St. Charles for continuing to build and maintain our wonderful parks.
