Lakefront Park left much to be desired during my visit. The first thing that struck me was the abundance of litter in the parking lot, which set a negative tone from the start. It's disappointing to see such disregard for cleanliness in a public space. Additionally, the landscaping appeared unkempt and neglected, with overgrown plants and weeds detracting from the park's beauty. It's evident that maintenance efforts have fallen short, contributing to a lackluster atmosphere.
As I ventured further into the park, the presence of garbage and litter on the paths only reinforced my initial impression. It's disheartening to witness such disregard for the environment and the enjoyment of visitors. The accumulation of debris not only mars the natural beauty of the park but also poses a potential safety hazard. It's imperative for Saint Cloud to prioritize regular cleaning and upkeep to ensure a pleasant experience for all who visit Lakefront Park.
Overall, my experience at Lakefront Park left me feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. The combination of parking lot litter, neglected landscaping, and scattered garbage created a dingy atmosphere that detracted from the park's potential as a recreational space. Saint Cloud must take proactive measures to address these issues and invest in the upkeep of this public asset. With proper maintenance and care, Lakefront Park could once again become a welcoming destination for residents and...
Read moreA most enjoyable, community, peaceful, long park next to the large lake. If I am not in a hurry, I drive by it as it is so peaceful. And it feels safe. Many parks around the country now have tent cities, people living in the parks, and open drug use and other bad behavior. But you do not see any of that. But this park is being used for what it was designed for, a community park, for kids to play, couples hand-in-hand on peaceful strolls, people watching the various birds. And if you wait long enough, you may see rabbits, but not sure how they survive with hawks around. Just enjoy the little bit of wildlife. People sitting by and in the water. As this is Florida, and any water I think alligators, but they must have great management of that, as people are in and around the water, and laying in the grass next to the water. Boats and other various people doing activities on the water. Restaurant on the waterfront. Very big playground. Lots of kids are always there. Picnic tables spread out on various spots. Seems to be a go to spot for outdoor birthday parties. Also beautiful spot people get wedding pictures outside, or ceremony outside as well. Plenty of parking and plenty of handicap parking as well. Wheelchair friendly sidewalks all the way out on a pier of the water. Nice shade of trees in spots. Very lovely, top notch community park, being used for what it was...
Read moreThis is the jewel of St. Cloud. There is no better place to go that gives the spirit of this town better. Everyone who lives or visits makes Crabby Bill's a regular destination for it's great menu, beautiful scenery, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. The food, while always good, often changes over time. Anyone who remembers the 1lb lobster tails they used to serve knows what I mean. And Bill's can be a bit pricey, especially for lunch, but evenings and weekends are not to be missed as the live local music and waterfront breezes permeate the air. The lakefront is always buzzing with joggers, and bicyclists and families with strollers. They all make way for the local birds who it seems run the place. The beach is usually not crowded, and is pretty clean. The lookout point has a nice gazebo area which does seem to get crowded. You can walk both with a cocktail from Bill's as long as it's in a covered cup. The splash pad is the go-to for anyone with small kids during the Summer months. Although it does have limited opening times outside of this period due to the usual Central Florida weather. The bathrooms, picnic areas, snack stands are all relatively clean but I have found that may not always be true when the areas get crowded. So, if you ever find yourself in St. Cloud, make your way to...
