I recently visited Ralph V. Chisholm Regional Park at 4700 Chisholm Park Trail, St. Cloud, FL, and had an amazing experience! The park is located right on the shores of East Lake Tohopekaliga, providing stunning waterfront views that make it perfect for family picnics, gatherings, or simply a peaceful day outdoors. There are plenty of pavilions for rent, ideal for hosting parties, and the park is well-equipped with amenities like a lighted boat ramp, restrooms, and clean picnic areas.
For families with children, the playground is a highlight. It features modern, safe play structures with swings, slides, and climbing areas, all set on a soft surface to ensure kids can play freely and safely. The playground is shaded by trees, and parents can relax on nearby benches while watching their little ones have fun. Its proximity to the beach area makes it easy to enjoy both land and water activities in one visit.
In addition to the playground, the park offers two miles of scenic hiking and equestrian trails, a volleyball area, and a softball field, making it a great spot for active visitors. The combination of natural beauty, well-maintained facilities, and a family-friendly atmosphere makes this park a top recommendation for anyone visiting the...
Read moreOne of my favorite natural parks. No I don't swim in the lake. I'm a floridian, haha, we know what's in the lakes 😆. But I enjoy this location when I need a break from life. The trail is short but not a lot of people walk it. So it's usually a private trail. The lake is beautiful with calming ripples and the sunrise and sunsets reflect divinely off the water. There are 2 iron hammocks off the sand and it's a great place to relax -bring a throw to cover the hammock so the iron hammock won't feel too discomforting. There is also a great tree to climb and sit comfortably in to enjoy the scene. People do swim and do water sports in the lake so it's nice to watch others enjoy themselves in the distance. A great spot for an introvert or someone who just want to disconnect from people. I recommend this spot...
Read moreWhen you get there the first thing that sticks out to you is the beautiful oak trees that provide excellent shade to the playground area. There are sandhill cranes everywhere, and a large grass field for sports to be played in, the beach area is fair especially since it's just a freshwater beach (which are not even comparable to ocean beaches) there are signs scattered around the park that give the history of the place and if you enjoy history are worth reading. I just wish that with all that lake front property there would be a better...
