Wild Florida offers an array of park adventures with animal encounters, airboat tours, a drive-thru safari park, and an adventurous gift shop. Our adventure began with the five (5) mile per hour drive-thru safari park, through one hundred and seventy (170) acres of exotic and native animals. The park provides a family-friendly environment for all ages. Some of the animals you may encounter include the following, but not limited to: alligator, banteng cattle, black buck, camel, capybara, llama, reticulated giraffe, water buffalo, zebra, and zonkey. The land is well-designed and maintained to provide the most reasonable atmosphere captive to the animals' natural wildlife. In addition, you will also have an opportunity to hand feed giraffes on a feeding platform to reach their height. This is accessible to all persons, including persons with disabilities; i.e., wheelchair access, walker, or mobility devices, as the platform offers a switch-back design to reach the height of the giraffes. The animal encounters also included a petting zoo with a children's playground. This is definitely an entire day adventure with several opportunities for learning. When paying to enter the park, if you're not provided a pamphlet, I would recommend asking for a pamphlet to read and partake in the adventure of placing an 'X' on each animal you see. Or you could utilize the scan me QR code Wild Florida, this feature provides audio to the different animals. I'd recommend Wild Florida Park for a phenomenal outdoor experience. Dated: 05/12/2023.
Caution: If you have young children, toddlers, and elementary age groups, attend the alligators' walk park, be vigilant, and guide your children in safe ways to see the alligators and animals. Keep all body parts away from the fence. Be careful of young children's playground, as it is near the alligators. Parents and Caregivers monitor your...

Read moreOur family had the best time at Wild Florida on December 23. We did a 10:15 Capybara encounter and a 12:00 Lemur encounter. Our guides, Daylin (capybaras) and Taylor (lemurs) were fun and knowledgeable, and most importantly, loved the animals they were working with. We were completely enchanted by the capybaras and the lemurs. We were all impressed that the capybaras and lemur had nicer manners when it came to taking treats than any of our pet cats.
While we were waiting for the capy encounter to start, a keeper was cleaning the enclosure housing a sloth and a fancy bird with red feathers. While she was still cleaning, the bird kept sneaking out to the anteroom to steal strawberries. She would come and put him back in, and never lost her patience with him. I didn't catch her name, but I appreciated that she was sweet and gentle with the bird.
Between and after our encounters, we checked out the walk-through exhibits at the park. We were impressed that the enclosures were large and clean and had a lot of enrichment for the animals. The animals appeared happy and healthy. The keepers we saw were friendly and professional and always had the animals' safety and comfort at heart (one keeper came out and kindly addressed a rambunctious group of young kids who were suuuuper excited to see the snakes. He struck the right balance of advocating for the animals without discouraging their interest).
It was one of the best family days we've had in a long time, and we will plan to come back!
Tip: come earlier in the day! And get tickets for the encounters you want to do in advance so they...
