My wife and I decided to get a treat this evening and she’d heard about a new place called Boga on the East Side. Google wasn’t aware of the road closures so it was a bit of a trek to get there but as we were finally able to turn back onto Minnehaha, we could see the friendly glow in the distance.

A bright young kid greeted us as we walked up and asked what we wanted. . .. too many choices to pick one. Start with dessert, I always say, so I ordered a single scoop salted caramel gelato and my wife opted for pistachio.

"You know, " said the kid, "a lot of people order those together as a double scoop. I thought it sounded weird, but I had it today and it's really good." Ok, let's do it, combine our order into a double scoop. He said they put the salted caramel on top since it's a little less thick and melts down over the pistachio. Sweet Jebus, he was right, it was amazing! Somehow, the combination was better than the sum of the parts. Definitely going to order this again.

We also ordered some fries and some onion rings, and they were extremely good. The fries in fact were some of the best fries I've had. They were perfectly crunchy outside but not dry inside and had just the right amount of seasoning. The onion rings were solid too. I’d put them in my top five fries and my wife said she thinks they’re better than state fair fries which she’s always say are in the top three. . . so, pretty good, yeah.

If you’re on the East Side of St Paul, I don’t know why you’re not at Boga already and inline to order. If you’re not on the East Side already, you should make the trip over....

Food seems to be better than Dariette. However, its a little pricey. I also kind of wish they had a meal package so I could get the burger with a small drink and fries. I got the gyro burger and gyro bowl, large fries, chicken tenders, and some gelato totaling over $70. Everything was okay for the price. It wasn’t unbelievably good—maybe the reviews hyped it up for me so I had higher expectations. Fries were a bit too dark and crispy for my liking. My kids liked the chicken tenders. We finished most of our food. Would I come back? I’m not sure I would make the drive because it’s a little further out for me, but if I was in the area I might consider dropping by for some dessert. Service was nice and timely. I was the only customer with my family when we dropped by on an early Tuesday evening so it wasn’t a long wait. We got everything within 15-20minutes of placing our order. They gave my kids a bin of chalk and bubbles. The bubbles wands looked like they were almost empty. My kids did use the chalk to draw with. Overall, food is okay and experience is...

first time eating here. first impressions the parking lot and walk up window Patio area was pretty clean free of garbage,

the girl that waited on us at the window was very friendly and had good customer service, a key element to running a small place like this, I had the cheese burger with fries, and a can of coke. the wait for the food wasn't too long being its fresh beef their working with.

first look at the food: opened up the plastic container smelled soo good, the fries were done to a nice crisp but not burnt or floppy. the bun was nice and soft and not all dried out. finally took a bite and it was a very pleasant taste, the hamburger was perfect the cheese was melted very nice, nicely topped and presented well.

I definitely will be back to try some ice cream and some more foods, the only downside is I wish the carhop speakers worked still, if they need fixing I'll be more then happy to fix them I'm very handy and good at...

You know those rare hole-in-the-wall spots everyone whispers about—the kind serving food so good it feels almost unfair? THIS. IS. ONE OF THEM. Hands down, the best burger in Minnesota—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to absolute perfection. The samosa? Out of this world—crispy on the outside, packed with flavor inside. The fries are everything fries should be: golden, hot, and crispy with just the right amount of salt. And the chicken shawarma… OMG. Flavorful, tender, and so satisfying it instantly transports you straight to the Middle East. World-class flavors in an unassuming spot. If you haven’t been, go. And if you’ve been… you already know.

Boga is a spot that caught my eye when driving by. They advertise ice cream and burgers, so that is exactly what I ordered. I ordered the Boga Burger which comes with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and the Boga sauce. Boga sauce is similar to Thousand Island sauce or Big Mac Sauce, and it fits perfectly on a burger. The ingredients seemed fresh and also enhanced the burger. Additionally, I tried a strawberry milkshake. The berries tasted juicy and fresh, and they mixed well with the vanilla ice cream. The prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. I would be curious to try out other menu items, such as the gyro!
