Dell Holmes Park — Attraction in Saint Petersburg

We loved the park. The playground is awesome a very well kept. The splash pad is amazing and it’s really cool that the city invested so much in an area that is too often overlooked. What is unfortunate is how many children were left totally unattended by adults and were overtly bullying other kids at random. My young son was shoved onto the ground by a kid who walked up and just pushed him for no reason. Both my little kids, and several others, were driven off the splash pad by a young girl with a high pressure squirt gun who was shooting into other kids eyes. The park itself is excellent, but you do want to keep a close eye on your kids. I saw other children getting beat on by several kids at a time, an inordinate amount of very young children crying, trying to find their parents. I dunno. Maybe it was just a rough day. I’ll definitely go back, but it helps to know what to expect next...

This park is absolutely beautiful, extremely clean, convenient and child friendly, I have 3 kids (11, 4 and 1) my 4 yr old has autism and is a wonderer who often escapes, but during my visit here I felt it was much safer for him and was able to allow him more freedom due to the gates and fences that provide protection in the park.... my kids especially loved the splash pad and I enjoyed relaxing while my kids had fun. Terrific park for all ages I've been here several times and look forward to returning here. Very cool park with plenty of outdoor space. The water park space was very nice especially at no cost. The actual playground had zero shade so all of the slides and most of the stuff was scorching hot and rendered it useless. Also, trash everywhere throughout the park. I seen a park staff member emptying trash bags while I was there but I guess they don’t enforce actually cleaning the park? Maybe a combination of poor staff and at the root of it, people who just don’t care about their environment. Sad if you ask me.
