Elite Marine Review
Repairs done to my boat by this company have continued to come up short even though we got the boat out of the shop back in January (currently July). As I use the boat and gain experience myself, I continue to run into cases where something should have been resolved but just ISN’T. Some examples: • The midship bilge - I specifically mentioned servicing or replacing this bilge due to its age and how it appeared to be wired. $500 later, that bilge was not touched. Finally got it repaired correctly by another company for $500. And get this...it was actually fixed! • Probably the issue I mentioned the most to get repaired - the engines syncing. I was told over and over that this was a simple fix - and that it WOULD be fixed - and to not worry about it. After the ‘fix’ whenever I turn on the synchronizer, one engine will rev till red-lining. Read moreI had one of my catamaran's engine replaced by my mechanic, who chose to do the work at Elite's boatyard, with SSMR's (nearby rigging company) crane truck. While the boat was at Elite, I had them remove davits, an outboard motor mount, and a wind generator pole from the transom. They gave me an estimate to remove that stuff, and to patch the holes. This is the first boatyard I've experienced that actually did their work correctly, on schedule, and at the estimated price. They were very easy to work with, and accommodating of my schedule. ...
